REACH is not an acronym. We are working to Reach students to help them Reach their full potential. That is where the program name came from.

2017-2018 is the first year of the REACH program. We are building the program from the ground up. In order to assure a great experience for the students and businesses we needed to keep the program at a manageable level for this first year.

Winona is home to 100+ manufacturing companies. The industry sector provides a diverse number of career pathways for high school graduates, 2 and 4 year college graduates, all with great income potential. Winona manufacturers are growing, creating high-levels of employment opportunities.

During the 2018-2019 school year REACH will be open to 30 incoming high school juniors at Winona Senior High School. This will bring the total number of REACH students to 60 by year two of the program. The Long-term plan will add additional career pathways, such as Health & Human Services.

No, there is no cost to the REACH students. All materials, REACH logo wear, activities, food and transportation are provided.

The initial funding for REACH came from grants: MN Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Blandin Foundation. Additionally, private businesses provide additional financial support as Founding Partners.

No, unfortunately at this time the REACH program is offered exclusively through a partnership with Winona Area Public Schools. However, there are many other programs and resources offered by the Business Education Network that area schools and students can take part in.
